About Us

The Lili GC Foundation (dba Lili Cancer Foundation) is a 501(c)(3) non-profit organization in Lewiston, Idaho, founded in March of 2023 by Jen and Joel Shubert. The mission of the organization is to support women and families impacted by women’s cancers in the Lewis Clark Valley and surrounding areas.
The Lili Cancer Foundation provides wrap around services and support to women and families affected by women’s cancers within 100 miles of the Lewis-Clark Valley. We assist survivors, current warriors, caregivers, and families, even after a loved one has passed. Additionally, we offer cancer prevention services for those managing weight, heart disease, and diabetes.

Our Creation Story
Jen was diagnosed with cancer during the COVID pandemic which created obstacles for treatment. Everywhere she turned she was told she had the wrong kind of cancer to receive support, didn’t have an aggressive enough cancer to receive immediate treatment, wasn’t urgent enough to have surgery…and she and Joel began to feel angry and alone. Throughout the frustrating treatment process, Jen and Joel realized this was much bigger than they initially realized. It was bigger than them. Bigger than chemo. Bigger than surgery. And bigger than the prognosis…it was a lifelong battle. A battle of the mind, the body, and the spirit.
In March of 2023, the Lili Cancer Foundation was created out of their heartfelt desire that no one face this BATTLE alone.
During the first year of existence, the foundation focused on researching best practices in both non-profits and for healing the entire person after a diagnosis with cancer. This research turned into our model of delivering wrap-around services in seven different research-based categories.
